Lately at work we’ve had a lot of issues Object Repository file sizes getting huge and the files getting corrupt. Today I started removing old browsers and checking the file size after each Save. The size kept shrinking as I expected. After I removed all the outdated browsers and saved, I noticed the file size had jump back up again to almost the original file size. How is this possible? I don’t know. After searching the interwebs for solutions I found the solution.

Open Object Repository file in OR Manager

Export to XML

Create new OR file

Import from XML

Replace original file

Life without Brett Favre isn’t that scary, really….

I first stopped here during a school field trip in 8th grade. During the first 2 years of college at Winona State I made frequent trips down Broadway to Bloedow’s. They definitely helped out with the “freshman 15″. Nowadays I only make it back to Winona maybe once a year and one of my first stops is always for donuts.

No website. No wi-fi. No expensive coffee. Just great bakery products…especially my fav, the raised glazed donuts.

This docu discusses the history of the air guitar championship in Finland and how the US finally got involved. A good portion of the movie shows people jamming out in competition and it gets out of hand quickly. Holy crap. It was almost too much to handle towards the beginning so be careful.

Here is the movie site: http://www.airguitarnation.com/

Add it to your netflix queue today!

I love Sprint’s service. Have for years. Few billing issues, great coverage in MN. However, I have wanted to upgrade my phone for awhile now and it’s been frustrating. Here is what I really need: a good phone wiht a decent camera which can transfer pictures to my puter.

My first trial was with the new HLC Mogul. It’s a cool phone. Only of the only Sprint phones with built-in WiFi. it’s got a 2.0 MP camera, Windows Mobile 6, mini-SD card, full QWERTY keyboard, etc. But it’s 300$, and you basically need the 15$/month sprint Vision pack to use all features. If you’re a super geek who needs access to Outlook, mobile office apps like excel, word, full keyboard…get this phone. It’s nice. But i’m not looking for all that shit right now, so I took it back. Oh, I had some issues with it. It wouldn’t save some of my preferences for notifications so I was bombarded with New Email notifications every 10 minutes. And surfing the web was kinda painful compared to the iPhone. It doesn’t come with flash installed, and I couldn’t figure out how to install flash in under 10 minutes on my laptop, so I gave up.

For the last week or so, our cable internet service has reached an all time low. I’ve had enough with this asses so I decided to give Qwest DSL a try. Box came in mail today, setup was ridiculously easy. Their modems have built in wi-fi adapters and a router so it would be perfect if you don’t need lan connections.

The connection is okay, a little over 1MB. Much less than the 2.5 I was getting with Charter, but at least I won’t have a week of no internet again. Even our TV signal is bad now, looks worse than bunny ears on the major network channels. Pathetic.

So long Charter, it’s been fun. We can stay in touch via ilovecharterNOT.com. I plan on getting this up for people to bitch about charter, god knows there are a million other unhappy customers out there.

Change the water every 2-3 months depending on use.

Make sure you check and maintain chemical levels.

DON’T BE A CHEAP/DUMB ASS AND ONLY USE 1/2 GALLON OF RV ANTI-FREEZE THINKING THAT IS ENOUGH TO PROTECT YOUR WIMPY PLASTIC PIPES FROM FREEZING IN A STATE WHERE YOU CAN GET FROSTBITE JUST FROM BEING OUTSIDE FOR A FEW MINUTES DURING ONE OF THE “COLD” MONTHS!

Phew….glad I got that out. Okay, so full disclosure here. I’m the dumbass who only used 1/2 gallon of anti-freeze. And I’m the cheap ass who has spent the last 3.5 months trying to fix the cracked pipe myself instead of shelling out some big bucks. Here is what I had to deal with:

http://picasaweb.google.com/adam.rudolph/HotTub

There are 2 close-ups of the area I had to fix. It’s located towards the middle of the tub’s base. I could barely reach one arm back there to work on everything. Man, what a project. But after 22$ of material, maybe 10-15 hours of labor, countless weird looks from my neighbors as they watched my butt crack hang out of the hot tub….it’s done!

People ask me: Was it worth all the work? I just smile and nod.

[tags]spa, hot tub, coleman[/tags]
